ThePoetsHeart.com is an update of the poetry and posts from my old site — UtahWhispers — which was ‘retired’. (Posts with 2012 copyrights are from the old site.)
The old site was ‘retired’ because it was taking too much of my time. However, after hitting the final delete key, I also found that I missed writing poems. So, we shall see if the poems survive another site, another year 🙂

/ July 14, 2013Thanks for visiting my blog.
It’s interesting that the first poem I read was perpetual rose, by Amy King. My late daughter Michelle, a member of the Atlanta Poets Group, loved her work.
I greatly enjoyed your poem, “The Wolf Within”. A beautifully expressed conveyance of timeless wisdom.

/ April 28, 2014I don’t know you,I have never read any of your poems, I have been feeling terrible for the last few days and I was sitting by my computer and I told myself that “I have been cursed with a poet’s heart”. Googled “poets heart” and here you are. I am an old guy now but I wrote a lot when I was younger(much younger) but it was so draining,so emotional,so de-humanizing that I took my talent put it in a box and nailed it shut forever. (I thought).Recently a friend found some of my “stuff”(for lack of a better term). I thought I had thrown it all away. I saw her sitting on the bed crying and then discovered what she was reading. She basically shamed me for not continuing with my writing.(It was always a curse to me) I admit I felt better after the work was done. Now I know why I have felt so terrible for the last few days. She has encouraged to start writing again and those old emotions that I have kept nailed shut for so long are creeping in again.my question, nail the box shut again or “go with it and see where I land.Thank you….Scalare..Oh do intend on reading your “Stuff”
