Poem 172:

Donut Falls

Spring Thaws

Spring runoffs with swollen creeks
water gurgling in the wind
a winding trail still filled with snow
tell us winter lingers near

But should spring thaws awaken
from the bedroom chamber
a rainbow’s smile & warm gentle breeze,
the morning sun awaits

Before the day’s sun bows low
within the mountain shade
the robin shall build its nest
a new song begun.
