Poem 159:

Scented Pebbles in the Night

Scented pebbles in the night
share the fragrance of autumn air
but alas in morning beams
seem rather plain, and not near so rare

Just another pebble in the light.

  1. It’s interesting how nighttime can make things seem so different than they do in the daylight hours, or given your mood at that time… I enjoyed the poem.

Hi, JS — I see you have been reading and “liking” many of the haiku I’ve been posting today, and I just wanted to express my appreciation! I haven’t been clicking on LIKE as I read your delightful “floral” poems but I should have. In short, I love every one of them, but “Scented Pebbles…” is one of my favorites. Nicely done!

    Richest Blessings,

    • Thank you for your kind words — they were appreciated. And yes, I enjoyed several of your Haiku, especially “ten swats at a fly perhaps …” 🙂
