Poem 106:

A Rented Spider

Totally frivolous, on a rainy afternoon

——————–

Time
is the rented spider
that all must share
her ways are known, that is true
But at her birth you did not care
You wanted to play,
now her fare
you must pay

Time
the rented spider
in whose web you sit
Glance again, the clock strikes down
for her dinner
is your fare
